About our Classes

Core stability

Core Stability Awareness is the first step to re-training and maintaining good postural alignment. A strong core is our scaffolding. It energises us, enables us to move with increased confidence and helps reduce risk of injury to other parts of our body due to compensation for weaker core muscles.

flexibility & flow

We all need to be able to move comfortably, safely, with confidence and a strong sense of our own well-being. Can adults become more flexible? Yes, of course! Little, often, with attention to good technique on individual exercises and flow…. you will be amazed at the results.

balance

Sedentary lifestyles, age and injury can all lead to a reduced sense of balance and an associated increased risk of trips, falls and related injuries. This can happen gradually, almost unseen. Regular Pilates sessions can help provide progressive improvement to our balance, whatever our age or ability.

strength & stamina

What to do with all that rebooted core strength, stamina, balance, flow, flexibility and confidence? We think we should have some fun. Whatever your starting point, what matters most is to take those first steps and START! Our classes are small, welcoming, non-competitive, inclusive and good fun…. you never know where it may lead!

What the students say

I have been attending for two years and highly recommend these classes. Sharon's attention to detail and individual correction within the group make a real difference. I can honestly say that this hour makes the most difference to my physical well-being.

Lisa, fitness instructor and fitness centre manager for over 23 years.

These classes are always friendly, welcoming and interactive. Sharon is the best teacher I have worked with and I really enjoy taking part. My balance and flexibility have definitely improved. I certainly know when I have been to her class!

Carole, started class as part of her return-to-fitness/rehab plan.

As physical theatre performers, having a strong core is vital. Sharon has years of physical training experience. She is a deeply empathetic person with a great understanding of the body working in a performance context.

Ben, professional juggler & physical performance specialist.
